Hi, I'm Nico.
(a little more about Me)
Hey there, I'm So Glad You're Here.
I’m a crazy dog lady, a Pisces, a houseplant hoarder, a wife, a Mexican-American, and introverted extrovert. I’ve been a documentary photography student, a hostel worker, that friendly chick you met in the bathroom that one time. I live and love to hype up the people around me, to try and take in the present like a sponge while also taking its imprint to look back at in the future.
I used to spend my summers fawning over my grandmother’s photo albums- all the outfits, smiles, trees, birthday cakes, people I’ll never meet, faraway family members I couldn’t wait to meet. How much had changed, how much stayed the same, how much world there was outside of me.
Over the years, I took my admiration and love for documenting life even further by taking photos ranging from events to portraits and weddings. As a fundamental lover of humans, I wound up receiving my degree in Anthropology from the the College of Charleston (Charleston, SC) with the interest in using my background in cross-cultural studies to inform my approach in photographing stories.
Capturing the moments around you for sharing is an act of love, and I want to help you share the love.
meet my family.
They are my inspiration.
These are my loves, the ones that inspire me the make the most of the short and sweet life we have. Remembering these moments makes my heart feel like it's rolling in glitter (but not the annoying, trash-the-earth kind). Who inspires you? I want you to feel about your photos the way that looking at these do for me, and to look at you in the same light that the people who love you most see you in, too.
