A few weeks ago, I had the honor of taking one of my most absolute favorite humans’ engagement photos at Spade and Clover Garden in Charleston, SC. While Spade and Clover is typically known for supplying beautiful, fresh produce to some pretty fantastic restaurants in Charleston (Butcher & Bee, FIG, Husk, Xiao Bao Biscuit, the list very much goes on), one thing I learned was how absolutely beautiful the farm itself was. (This actually tracks for what I assumed of a place that is growing incredible produce in a lovely, off-the-beaten path space like John’s Island). Boundless flowers, walls of green, and horses hanging out in the not-so-far distance were so swoony:)
Everything about this engagement session was so effortlessly lovely – from Chelsea’s beautiful vintage dress she thrifted a few weeks back, to Tony comically slapping some dust off some suspenders that have been waiting their wear again after a long hiatus, there is an undeniably playful, disarming, and purely joyful air about them together.
Needless to say, Chelsea and Tony brought all the love + smooches + champagne popping + twirling each other around like graceful little wrestlers and I am starting to consider making this kind of commitment to going ham at a photo session the baseline.
